A separate copy of the required documentation will need to be presented when picking up tickets for Convocation and for NYU Commencement.

5. Order Tickets for the NYU Commencement Ceremony and for Grad Alley

If you plan to attend the University Commencement and Grad Alley, you must order tickets between Monday, March 12 and Friday, May 4.

6. Order Academic Attire

Graduates and degree candidates who wish to participate in the NYU School of Professional Studies Convocation and in the University Commencement ceremonies are required to wear academic attire. Academic attire specifically for NYU can be rented from Herff Jones, Inc. beginning Monday, March 13 at: Rental orders must be received online by Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

Please Note: Since the rented attire has been folded and placed in a bag for distribution, it is recommended that you pick it up in time to have it pressed before the ceremony.

Late Orders

If you miss the April 10th deadline, you must place and pick up a late order beginning Thursday, May 10th, during regular distribution hours. Go to the Kimmel Center, on the fourth floor of Kimmel when a representative of Herff Jones, Inc. will be available to take and fill your late order in one transaction. All late orders must be paid by certified check, money order, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover) or cash. The latter will speed up your transaction. Please understand that the rental firm might have to make substitutions to fill late orders.

No academic attire will be distributed at the Kimmel Center after 4:00pm on Tuesday, May 15th.

Returning Academic Attire

If you are only attending the NYU School of Professional Studies Convocation, you will be able to drop off your academic attire after the ceremony. For those planning to attend only the NYU Commencement, you will need to return your academic attire after Commencement at Yankee Stadium.

Graduates attending both the NYU Commencement and NYUSPS Convocation for Graduate Students, please make sure to hold onto your academic attire after NYU Commencement. You will need your attire for the NYUSPS Convocation ceremony and will be able to return it after the ceremony ends at Radio City Music Hall as you exit the facility.
